(NOT-SO) SURPRISING ENDINGS

Life is full of surprises. How we meet someone. How we grow our career. How we build our companies. How we live our lives. Where we end up. It’s the end of the year and no matter how much we seem to plan, there is always a bucket full of surprises. Or is there?

My friend recently shared this quote that reminded me of the importance of seeing life as a journey:

“We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit.” – Aristotle.

Every small thing we do adds up. It makes a difference. So your good surprises resulted from each opportunity you captured. Even the not so great experiences bring learning, resilience, and patience.

Whether it’s entrepreneurs like Walt Disney to writers like J.K. Rowling, I think about how their legacy today is truly the result of all the consistent hard work they put in—without hesitation. They did not stop because somebody rejected them. They did not slow down because they experienced one success. They sought out to be better and hone their crafts.

I think about this even more as we look back at the four years we built InnovatorsBox. It’s certainly been an incredible journey working with amazing clients on unique projects. But I also know we won’t stop growing. Today we are better than yesterday. Tomorrow we’ll be better than today. And we’re grateful you are part of this journey. We’ll share more when we publish our impact report this Spring. For now, we simply want to say thank you, innovators.
