RETHINKING SUCCESS

Dear Friends –

As we move into the quiet reflection of the holiday season, I invite you to take a few moments to reconnect with your true purpose, and reflect on what the start of 2021 means for you.

It’s so important, now more than ever, to:

• Never forget why you started.
• Never forget where you started.
• Never forget where you are heading.

We tend to rush through our routines and to-do lists, to the point that we sometimes forget where and why we started working in our industry, launched our company, or chose to become an advocate for our community.

Be honest with yourself. Why do you do what you do professionally? What got you into your field? Do you remember the feeling when you first walked into that interview, launched your business, or when you were offered the job? How have things changed when you look back?

When you have an honest conversation with yourself, does your answer surprise you?
Was it because of fear or a need to feel safe and secure? Or was it because of joy, curiosity, or an undeniable passion?

Whatever the case, it is critical that we never forget our beginning—our why. Because what is the point of reaching a level of success when you don’t have something to connect back to, or something to celebrate?
