Happy New Year! Hello from Korea!
It’s a new day, a new year, and an opportunity to set new milestones to take your life to the next level. It’s funny how that simple calendar year change can shift how we feel about the day. Suddenly, I feel an extra breeze of hope, opportunity and openness in the air. Are you also humming a song right now? This begs a question: If something as small as a calendar year can shift our mood, are there other things we can let our mind think more positively or negatively by choosing to do so? The magical boost of ‘there is opportunity in the air’ feeling in the new year is a powerful reminder the most important way to experience opportunities is to seek it and expect it.
Limitless opportunity comes when we choose to see it. This is why there is a proverb that says “opportunity comes to those who seek it.” So, as you celebrate today, this week and this month of newness, I ask for you to think about how you can continue to be intentional to see ‘new opportunities in the air’. Set aside a time to ask questions, reflect, pause, celebrate, be grateful and forgive. Set aside time to tell yourself how your life will be if you gave your 100% and felt alive each moment. Set aside time to let the limitless version of you grow. The best is yet to come but the best can only be created if you put in the effort.
I can’t wait to hear how you take 2018 to a new level with creativity.
P.S. In the spirit of trying some K-Pop (Korean Pop)? Meet BTS, the first Korean and Asian band to win the Billboards and performed at the American Music Award. It’s a pretty big deal! Play “DNA”. It will get you dancing.
