If you have been following InnovatorsBox®, you know how much we value community. And you know that we strive to help everyone be empowered with  creativity.

As the world gets busier and as we’re surrounded with more and more noise, it’s easy to get lost in the weeds. But as the world slows down with the pandemic and gets eerily quiet, and we’re all left wondering how we navigate in this bubble that we’ve never prepared ourselves for, we need to rethink everything we ever knew.

About our life. About ourselves. Our relationships. About our workplace. And our need for connecting to other people, hearing different voices, listening to diverse stories and perspectives and being able to relate has become even more dire.

Diversity of perspective is a beautiful thing. When we bring people from diverse backgrounds, nationalities, and cultures, experiences, and walks of life together, we’re bringing a fresh array of perspectives to the table. That is a powerful thing and as someone who advocates and celebrates diversity of perspectives, I’m very intentional with inclusivity.

"We only know what we know and that tunnel vision can limit our world view of society and workplace if we only see people who look and think like us."

As I was planning for the podcast, I envisioned putting diversity in the workplace front and center. Sure, 1:1 interviews are beautiful and I enjoy listening to many that have delivered a lot of value through that dialogue. But I wanted find a way to have more room to expand our horizon by listening to a wide array of new voices and perspectives on the same topic.

So we thought… we’ll do just that!

I’m around a lot of innovative friends who look and think differently and I realize that is not common. So when I was contemplating creating a podcast, I thought I would want to create something deeply meaningful and impactful. The only way I could see that possible is by introducing different voices, celebrating different journeys, and looking at our community, society, and workplace through a diverse lens. If I wanted to encourage others to see things differently, I would have to highlight things in the most unique way.

So we did. We created two podcast shows – both with original brands and identity, original music, and we built an internal production team.

Over the course of 4 months, we interviewed 90+ individuals from 8 countries and 45 cities, across 40 different job titles.

Dear Workplace

Dear Workplace studies changes, trends, and challenges in the workplace. It is the podcast where we untangle all your workplace questions such as, “can I be happier and less stressed at work?”, or “is it possible to love what I do no matter what I do?”.

The answer is connected to one element  — and regardless of where we work, it has the potential to bring us the most happiness as well as most stress. People. And with Dear Workplace, we want to help you better understand how to find clarity to navigate the people experiences in our workplaces.

So join us to study trends, changes, and challenges to rethink how we work! Subscribe to Dear Workplace

And here’s a little teaser intro!

Dear Workplace Season 1 will be available from March to July 2021 and in autumn we will share Season 2.

Curious Monica

Curious Monica studies how innovators thrive in different jobs. As an inherently curious person, I ask a lot of questions. And here’s something that I found very interesting: when I ask people, as they built the career they are in, did they always know that it’s where they wanted to end up, most people would say “no”. It made me wonder…

Why do some people love their work no matter where they work? Do they have some elusive skill that we don’t know about or that we should all master so we’re better prepared for changing workplace?

That curiosity led me to decide that I would interview my friends around the world who are executives, entrepreneurs, and innovators in different jobs and in different expertise. And through that process, I hoped to understand – and share with you – a plethora of insight into why we work the way we do, and how we can all shine brighter no matter where we work.
