YOU ARE NOT ALONE

How often do we let ourselves forget this? Despite the increasing social engagement online, studies consistently show how more individuals are feeling isolated, depressed and alone. Why could that be?

We meet people all the time, yet we have difficulty understanding and connecting on a deeper level with many. Sometimes we don’t even really know who our colleagues are even though we talk with them everyday. We are here but not really here. Isn’t it kind of bizarre how normal that has become?

December is a good time to reflect upon our associations and relationships, to see what invisible walls we ourselves are creating ahead of it, and to ask why do we really feel alone?

Problem-solving is tough, and the complex problems that innovators face every day are bound to be challenging. However, when we recognize that we always have a choice to how we see the problem-solving – something I do alone versus a team – the result can be powerful. Take the village with you. Don’t ever try to go alone even if you think you can. You’ll be thrilled to see how much deeper and impactful you can be with your problem-solving if you will be collaborative. Take the village.
