Thank you so much for going on this journey together with us in the past few months in going backstage to learn more about our team and their journey to creativity. This has been a heartwarming process for me to create as much as it has been for you to read and learn about our team. What I love the most about the work we get to do at InnovatorsBox is the amazing people I get to work with every day and I’m so happy you got to go behind the scenes and meet some of the incredible people we have at InnovatorsBox.
Putri understands creative storytelling. When we first e-meet and started collaborating I appreciated how she took my ideas fully to a new level. I loved her animation and storytelling so much that our one-time project quickly turned into a regular collaborative effort.
It’s me! I wanted to go last since you see enough of my introductions in many of my blogs. But there are still some layers to why I do what I do that I’d like to share with you, and I’m incredibly grateful for all of you for being part of this journey of sharing creativity in your life.
Jen Riedel is a patient curator who sees possibilities where others miss. She’s a community builder, bridge builder, and facilitator having worked in the hustling bustling founder and startup space. So Jen naturally understands the intensity and uncertainty that innovators face.
Giorgio Schipani is a very passionate musician. As we were giving all our music identity and story at InnovatorsBox Studios, it was crucial that we also had great audio engineers in the team who understood how to finesse the audio and do the incredible music justice. Gio is incredibly talented and amazing at his craft and we’re so glad that we’re able to work together on music while being on two sides of the pond!
Isaiah Weatherspoon is a bubbly creative for whom every beat is an opportunity to tell a story. As a drummer and musician, he loves to help you see why music is a powerful way for us to see a new us in our days.
Kasia Gurgul is a curious listener. Always hungry to help leaders see possibilities in every gap they feel, her background of serving leaders and executives around the world has helped her empathize and support innovators in a depth and lens that others may not often see.
Kree Pandey is a creative nightowl who will not take no for an answer to find new paths to everything she does. I don’t know how I managed my digital land before her! When we first met through a comment I posted on WeWork community board looking for some help on my website I appreciated how she followed up and knew she was the one who I’d love to work with.
Daniel Osterstock is the most thoughtful and kind creative. He is truly a jack of all trades. From video editing, animation, to music development he creates beautiful creative pieces that come to life because he cares about how it tells the story and how you’ll feel when you watch and listen to them.
Sarah Bloodworth is a creative content writer who writes with passion, purpose and impact. Her sincerity and ‘duty-of-care’ shows in the work she produces and more importantly, it shows that she was having fun creating.
Julie Smith will help you be happy at work. As a coach, facilitator and a person she is someone who lightens the room and sees the dots that are missing.
Paniz Farokhnia is a creative bridge builder. Give her a tune and she’ll tell you how she sees ways to connect them into a music you’ll want to put on repeat. Having fallen in love with music since her early days, Paniz was curious about what happens behind the scenes in a journey of making a music.
Florence Navarro loves people and loves creating intentional rooms where people can be themselves. Her fascination with safe rooms and facilitation grew as someone who grew up and worked in multiple cultures, countries and industries. I was deeply inspired by her depth of awareness and patience to see differences as opportunities to understand instead of conflict having worked in international affairs and development work. We also met at SAIS Johns Hopkins University alumni gathering as fellow female entrepreneurs and I was so humbled and thrilled she said yes to more collaboration and working together to empower other teams and leaders navigating safe room and culture development. Florence has so much to share with you about what inspires her to see these differences and I know you’ll enjoy learning more about how you can create safe rooms for diverse people too.
Sara Piedrahita and Flor Lievano are agile and thoughtful. I’d be stuck in an array of day-to-day tasks with a big sigh if I didn’t have them. They make any backend activity, editing, social media management, and project administration feel like a breeze.
Luke Helder is an inquisitive storyteller. He loves creating music that tells a story that helps people feel and see by listening to the beat with intention.
Monica Escobar loves to see the color of possibilities in everything she does and everyone she meets. As a graphic designer and brand designer, she is meticulous about how color conveys meaning in everything we encounter.
Kelly Gravo will brighten every room with her cheerful spirit and questions. She may be the youngest, but her passion and tenacity equal any other member of the team as she dives into all of the wonder that music, marketing, and color can bring people together.
Sam Lehmert is the most kind and patient friend you’ll ever have. When he realized how much he loved sound and music he went all in to hone his crafts in audio engineering. From toy industry to educational programming and now with InnovatorsBox he continues to study ways how sound can make people feel connected and curious.
Mutiara Alam truly cares about how you feel and think. She will ask you deep and meaningful questions and won’t shy away from helping you explore further with even deeper questions. Her hunger and passion for helping others feel heard, and for creating safe spaces comes from her own experience of knowing what it feels like to not have it.
Jennifer Hart is a thoughtful and curious one. She pays close attention to what you’re saying and wants to comprehend your perspective. Active Listening is one of her many strengths and it’s part of the reason her work in coaching to facilitation and strategy feels different. Jennifer knows well to make everyone feel heard and appreciated. Since both of us are a SAIS, Johns Hopkins University alumni, we used to connect and meet during SAIS entrepreneur female networking meetups.
Lea Orsini loves to inspire others through her creative illustrations. A graphic designer in and out, she has been a part of various projects helping bring color and voice through her design work.
I first met the talented designer through my friend at Fire Dash Media where she was working on pockets of different projects for InnovatorsBox.
Ravi Lad is a diligent creative who loves bringing musical spirit to everything he does! Going into a different field after working on one that’s on an opposite side of the spectrum isn’t what one can expect from everyone. But Ravi has always been daring when it comes to creativity and storytelling.
Rowanne is an imaginative creative. She fell in love with music after being in law, marketing, and music production and realized how much visualization can be a powerful way to tell the story of the beat that music is trying to share. From Taiwan and now living in Spain, she is a creative person who communicates through her artwork. Thanks to Serin’s introduction we got to connect and she has helped create our visual identities for InnovatorsBox Studios. Meet Rowanne and where she finds her creative inspiration!
Serin Oh is a joyous, energetic soul with this unique energy that just seems to brighten people up. We met while I was teaching and running a custom leadership program at the Council of Korean American for the next generation of Korean Americans leaders during the pandemic. As music lovers and creatives alike, we were drawn together by our love of artistry and creativity.
Rian Reed is a compassionate doer. Having met through the shared social entrepreneurship community groups like StartingBloc before, when Rian came to my book talk for Rethink Creativity in 2018, it gave us an opportunity to get to know each other even more.
Welcome to the “IB Backstage” series! In celebration of InnovatorsBox’s 6th year anniversary that’s coming up in November 2021, we are highlighting the stories of our incredible team members.
From August to December 2021, we’re opening the curtains for you to see the “IB Backstage” and meet us behind the scenes.
Thank you for being part of this journey with us and we look forward to sharing many more years of learning and growing as innovators together!
